Combine Polygon and Brush Mode
With the Mask Pen tool, you can seamlessly switch between polygon mode and brush mode to create a mask for a single object. This flexibility allows you to adapt the annotation approach based on the changing shape of the object's outline. To finish the figure, simply press the
SPACE key or return to the starting 🟢 point.
Adding and Removing object's parts
You can adjust the mask by adding or removing its parts. To add a part of the object, select the shape and draw the missing section. To delete a part, press and hold the
SHIFT key while repeating the previous steps. Additionally, you can use the Bucket Fill function to quickly fill in holes in the segmentation with just one click. The selected object is highlighted by a grid of dots.
Polygon split mode
If you want to split the mask into two figures, you can use the Polygon Split function. Simply outline the desired area and reconnect it to the starting point. The shape you've just outlined will then emerge as a new object of the same class in the list of objects.
For a swift change in the class of an object, right-click on the selected item and choose the desired option from the pop-up list. In addition to class changes, this menu provides easy options for deleting or hiding an object.

Unlike a regular polygon, the Mask Pen tool lets you pick spread out parts of an object in the image, even if they're not connected thanks to its integrated brush functions. Each part you select belongs to just one object until you press the
